Here are the Upstate’s top performers in the first round of the South Carolina high school football playoffs.

Kamajay Brackett-Brannon, Broome: He ran 16 times for 132 yards and two touchdowns while also completing 14 of 19 passes for 162 yards and a TD in a 42-35 win against Seneca.

Jaylen McGill, Broome: McGill ran for 173 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries.

James Oates, Byrnes: Oates had 10 solo tackles, 12 in all, as Byrnes beat Dorman, 44-17.

Tre Segarra, Byrnes: Segarra ran 12 times for 90 yards and a touchdown.

Andrew Stevens, Byrnes: Stevens completed 15 of 20 passes for 356 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for a TD.

Armani Weaver, Byrnes: Weaver had 156 yards receiving and a touchdown on only four catches.

Tucker Hendrix, Christ Church: Hendrix attempted only 15 passes and completed seven, but five went for touchdowns in a 49-0 win against Ridge Springs-Monetta.

Dashun Reeder, Christ Church: Reeder had 137 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Lee Turnipseed, Daniel: Turnipseed completed 10 of 12 passes for 209 yards and a touchdown while also running for two TDs and 47 yards on seven carries in a 49-2 win against Blue Ridge.

Riley Staton, Gaffney: Staton passed for 222 yards and four touchdowns in a 47-14 win against Lexington.

Avery McFadden, Hillcrest: McFadden had five catches for 84 yards and a touchdown in a 37-29 win against Nation Ford.

Thomas Stanley, Hillcrest: Stanley ran 39 times and set a single-game school record for the Rams with 248 yards and also scored three touchdowns. Stanley broke a record set in 1981.

Ethan Anderson, J.L. Mann: Anderson passed for 287 yards and four touchdowns in a 44-0 win against Blythewood.

Luke Gray, Pendleton: Gray passed for five touchdowns and 432 yards (29-for-36) in a 41-16 win against Travelers Rest.

Kory Jones, Pendleton: Jones had 12 catches for 226 yards and three touchdowns.

Cade Alt, St. Joseph's Catholic: Alt passed for 153 yards and two touchdowns on only nine attemps in a 38-24 win against Hunter-Kindard-Tyler.

Brayden Johnson, St. Joseph's Catholic: Johnson ran 30 times for 188 yards and two touchdowns.

Trenton Lynch, Spartanburg: Lynch ran for 130 yard and a touchdown on 19 carries in a 31-7 win against Rock Hill.

Vashun Burton, T.L. Hanna: Burton ran for 112 yards and a touchdown on just six carries in a 53-9 win against Fort Mill.

K.D. Patterson, T.L. Hanna: Patterson ran for three touchdowns on only six carries and totaled 57 yards.

Cutter Woods, Westside: Woods completed 15 of 18 passes for 273 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-0 win against Airport. He also ran for a TD.

Josh Williams, Westside: Williams had four catches for 146 yards and two touchdowns.
