Unveiling the 2024 Volusia-Flagler All-Area Girls Track and Field Team

Until last spring, Volusia County waited 33 years to crown a state girls pole vaulting champion. There was no such drought this time around.

Not only did DeLand's Kylie Neira defend her Class 4A gold medal, but New Smyrna Beach's MaKenna Estes walked out of UNF's Hodges Stadium as the undisputed champ of Class 3A. If that weren't enough, Spruce Creek's Angelina Stabile added a fifth-place Class 4A finish, solidifying arguably the area's finest season in event history.

In total, nine local athletes earned their way onto the podium at states, creating an exceedingly competitive field of candidates for Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Year.
