Former Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt suddenly finds himself popular once again.

Earlier Tuesday Hunt visited the New Orleans Saints and it looked like a promising spot for him to land, according to an ESPN report from Dianna Russini.

Things change quickly in the NFL. Hunt left the Crescent City without a deal and has drawn interest from the Indianapolis Colts. NFL insider Adam Schefter, reported Tuesday afternoon.

Hunt, who wasn’t re-signed by the Browns after the season ended, will likely serve as an insurance policy against the loss of running back Alvin Kamara, who will begin the NFL season with a three-game suspension for an incident at a Las Vegas bar.

Hunt wasn’t re-signed by the Browns, according to off-season reports, because he’d lost a step.

Deployed in tandem with Nick Chubb, the duo, nicknamed "Chunt" by fans, was supposed to offer a one-two punch out of the backfield when former Browns General Manager John Dorsey, who drafted Hunt in Kansas City, took a chance and signed him after he was released after a violent altercation in a downtown Cleveland hotel.

The success of the duo never really materialized.

Hunt, a Willoughby native who played at Willoughby South High School, had periods of productivity and rushed for 1,874 yards and 16 touchdowns in 49 games with the Browns. He also added 132 receptions for 973 yards with seven scores with the team.
