What UNC football players, head coach Mack Brown said after loss

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets were able to go into Chapel Hill and stun No. 13 North Carolina on Saturday, ending any slim hopes the Tar Heels had for chaos in the College Football Playoff. It also might have ended all hope quarterback Drake Maye had at being a Heisman Trophy finalist.

After UNC went up 17-0 in the first half, the Yellow Jackets stormed back scoring 21-unanswered to win the game. That was a 4-6 Georgia Tech team that was down to QB3 and QB4 in the game. They made life rough on UNC’s offense, not allowing Maye to beat them.

And it just was one of those games for UNC.

The Tar Heels had a long touchdown run called back for holding, had another big play before the end of the half called back, couldn’t recover a fumble right under them and wide receiver Josh Downs dropped a wide-open touchdown pass late in the game.

It was one of ‘those games’ we are used to seeing when the stakes are high for the Tar Heels. It’s a tough one.

Let’s see what UNC football players said following Saturday’s tough loss to the Yellow Jackets:
