Tyler Herro agrees with claim that Bucks tampered to get Damian Lillard in trade, then a day later wants his jersey

In the aftermath of the trade that brought Damian Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks, Jimmy Butler took to social media to make a bold accusation that had everyone's attention: the Bucks tampered in acquiring Lillard.

Butler, who burned the Bucks in the playoffs last season, wants the NBA to start an investigation. His Heat teammate Tyler Herro even supported the claim.

We know the Heat and the Bucks have a fiery relationship in recent years and after Miami was seen as a favorite to land Lillard was this just sour grapes to intensify the rivalry? The Heat have eliminated the Bucks twice in the playoffs in recent years, while Milwaukee swept Miami on their way to a championship in 2021.

While NBA feuds are common on social media, it doesn't change the fact that players are fans of each other, especially younger ones of the stars they grew up watching.

So, a day after Herro agreed with Butler's allegation, it probably was no surprise that the Greenfield native took a different tone on his hometown team acquiring Lillard, a seven-time All-Star.

"in all seriousness... as a kid from Milwaukee, I'm grabbing me a Dame jersey," Herro tweeted Thursday about the Milwaukee's new point guard.

As Herro was starring at Whitnall High School from 2014-18, Lillard was well on his way to his remarkable career with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Herro has already carved out a successful NBA career of his own, appearing in two NBA Finals. The 23-year-old Herro is about to begin his fifth NBA season a year after becoming a full-time starter for the first time and averaging career highs in many statistical categories. He was the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year in 2021-22.

Herro missed almost all of the team's improbable run to the NBA Finals last season after breaking his hand in its first playoff game against the Bucks.
