Two milestones in one game: Vote for the High School Boys Hockey Player of the Week

Weymouth High's Johnny Bell has been voted the High School Boys Hockey Player of the Week.

The senior received over 24,000 votes to earn the honor. Bell had two goals and two assists in a 6-4 win over Braintree.

And this week's candidates are...

James Joyce + Sam Steinman, Middleboro: Joyce had two goals and three assists in a 6-1 win over Stoughton/Brockton. Steinman had three goals and an assist in a 5-2 win over Monomoy.

Sam McDonald + Hunter Grafton, Abington: McDonald scored an overtime winner in a 4-3 win over Cohasset/Hull. Grafton had a hat trick, including his 100th career point, in a 7-5 win over St. John Paul II.

David Pittenger, Sr., Duxbury: Pittenger had two goals and an assist in wins over Hanover and Arlington Catholic.

Chris Brennick, Jr., BC High: Brennick scored two goals in a 5-2 win over St. Mary's of Lynn.

Christian Bates, Sr., West Bridgewater/East Bridgewater: Bates tallied his team's first hat trick of the season in a 4-3 win South Shore Tech. He scored the winning goal with less than two minutes remaining.

Sawyer Garzone, Sr., Dover-Sherborn/Weston: Garzone posted a goal and two assists for the Raiders (16-4) in a 6-0 win over Dracut/Tyngsborough. On Monday, he played a part in all four goals, as the Raiders took down Hopedale 4-1 at the Rivers School. He scored on a breakaway late and added three assists.

James Hayward, Soph., Hopkinton: Hayward scored both goals in the Hillers' 2-1 victory over Norwood on Wednesday that clinched the Tri-Valley League Large championship.

Finn Lozeau, Soph., Blackstone Valley Tech: Lozeau made 30 saves for the Beavers (15-3, 8-2 Russell) in a 3-1 win over St. Paul on Wednesday.

Luc Masse, Sr., Marlborough: The AMSA senior put away both goals for the Panthers in a 2-2 tie with Lynnfield on Wednesday.
