What to know for 2023
First-year head coach Sam Rodriguez, who came over after being part of Carroll's resurgence last year, is excited and sees similarities between the two programs. The Badgers have a stellar running back/quarterback combo in Godines and Sill, and Rodriguez is excited about the number of strong pass catchers, which could challenge defenses. The expectation is a winning campaign for the first time since 2016.
Coach Sam Rodriguez on the 2023 season
“Our goal for the short term is consistency and getting some kids out. Depth is a problem, but we have talent. I knew I was going to have talent. This situation is very similar to Carroll. Being at Carroll, after seeing them last summer, I called coach Neatherlin and said this isn't an 0-10 team, by any means. I feel the same way. I feel like we are going to have a winning season and that is what I expect. I think they expect it and the community does as well."
