Twitter reacts to Auburn’s huge win over Tennessee
The Auburn Tigers can sleep a little easier.
Auburn (20-11, 10-8 SEC) has locked up its place in the NCAA Tournament after taking down No. 14 Tennessee 79-70 Saturday in Neville Arena.
The Tigers have struggled to close out wins this entire season but that was not the case this time and clutch defense was why. Tennessee did not make a basket over the final 6:13 as Auburn kept pulling further and further away to pick up the signature win of their season.
Four different Tigers scored in double figures with Wendell Green Jr. leading the way with 24. Johni Broome had 17 points, seven rebounds, and four blocks. While seniors Jaylin Williams and Allen Flanigan added 13 and 16 points.
