Twitter reacts: Anthony Edwards signs massive $260M contract

Former Georgia basketball guard Anthony Edwards has signed a maximum contract extension worth up to $260 million over five years, if he makes the All-NBA team in 2023-2024, with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Anthony Edwards was named as an NBA All-Star for the first time in his career during the 2022-2023 season.

Edwards was the No. 1 pick of the 2020 NBA draft. The shooting guard just finished his third career NBA season. Last season, Edwards averaged a career-high 24.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.6 steals, and 4.6 assists per game.

The Timberwolves finished this past season as the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference. Minnesota is banking on Edwards being the future of its franchise.
