Zone 4 playoffs
Leominster 7, Hudson 0: Adam Bessette and Trevor Robichaud combined on a one-hitter at McLaughlin Park, and Cam Marshall had three hits and two runs as host Post 151 won the winners' bracket final and moved within a victory of capturing the zone's berth in the American Legion State Tournament.
Thomas Rupp hit a two-run double in the fourth inning to double Leominster's lead at 4-0.
Leominster hosts the winner of Wednesday's Hudson/Shrewsbury game for the title. Hudson and Shrewsbury, each with one loss and needed three wins to take the zone title, plays at 5 p.m. at McLaughlin, with the victor taking on Leominster at 7:30. If Leominster loses the late game, a championship game will be played Thursday.
The state tournament at Mahan Field in Natick begins Saturday.
Shrewsbury 11, Northborough 1: David Escobar threw 3⅔ shutout innings, and Degon Miller went 2 for 2 with three runs and an RBI as Post 397 eliminated Northborough at Tivnan Field.

Auburn 6, Milton National 1: The District 5 champions prevailed on the road in their first game of Section 2 pool play.
Auburn hosts District 6 champion Seekonk at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday and D7 champ Barnstable at 7 p.m. Thursday, with the top two teams of the four advancing to Saturday's final.
Futures Collegiate League
Norwich 4, Bravehearts 2: Visiting Worcester's ninth-inning rally came up short at Dodd Stadium, and the Sea Unicorns (31-16) moved to within a half game of the league lead with their seventh straight win.
Daniel Bucciero homered for the Bravehearts (31-15) in the ninth, and Marc Willi's sacrifice fly to center field scored a second run, but Kobe Stenson struck out to end the game with pinch runner Micah Dean on first.
International League
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre 5, WooSox 3: Ceddanne Rafaela hit a two-run homer in the ninth inning at PNC Field, but visiting Worcester's six-game winning streak was snapped.
Wilyer Abreau also homered for the WooSox, who moved to 10-5 in the second half and tied with Norfolk for the IL East lead, with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre a half game back.
