Troup remains at No. 4 in #bEASTTexas Fabulous 15 football poll

Sep. 26—Following an open date on Friday, the Troup Tigers (4-0) were able to retain their No. 4 ranking in the latest #bEASTTexas Fabulous 15 football poll, which was released Tuesday afternoon.

The top-11 teams remained the same in the Class 3A/2A/TAPPS poll, with Timpson, Malakoff and Winnsboro heading the list. All are currently undefeated.

Timpson reeled in 14 first place votes, while Malakoff and Winnsboro had one apiece.

Brook Hill (3-2) came away with four votes.

In the Class 6A/5A/4A poll, Bullard dropped two spots to No. 14 after losing to top-ranked (both in the Associated Press/Texas Football poll, and the #bEASTTexas Fabulous 15 poll) Carthage late last week.

Carthage collected nine first place votes with No. 2 Chapel Hill and No. 3 Longview garnering three first place affirmations each.

The top six teams in the ranking were a carbon copy of last week's poll, with Kilgore at No. 4, followed by Whitehouse and Center. Center is slated to host Rusk.

Rusk netted five votes this week, after having a bye Friday.

Voters in the poll were Phil Hicks and Brandon Ogden of the Tyler Morning Telegraph, Jack Stallard and Thomas Bingham of the Longview News-Journal, Ryan Silapan of the Panola Watchman, Nathan Hague of the Nacogdoches Daily Sentinel, Josh Havard of the Lufkin Daily News, Mitch Lucas of the Kilgore News Herald, Jay Neal of the Jacksonville Progress, Bryce Brauneisen and Reagan Roy of CBS 19, freelance writers Joe Hale and John Krueger, Harlen the Sports Guy of the Friday Night Scoreboard Show and Bret Swinney of the Northeast Texas Sports Network/NETSN.
