Trevor Lawrence to undergo tests on knee, but ‘feeling OK’

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence isn’t too worried about the knee injury he suffered in the final minutes of a 37-20 win against the Indianapolis Colts.

Lawrence, 24, told reporters that he’ll wait to see the results of some testing on his knee, but for now, he’s feeling fine.

“I’m feeling OK,” Lawrence said in a postgame press conference. “I’ll get it checked out tonight and see kind of what’s going on. I feel pretty good, I’m walking around alright. I can’t really say much now what we’ll do [in Week 7], but we’ll make sure everything’s all checked out.”

He said similar things in an interview with CBS, telling reporter Amanda Balionis that it “should be OK.”

The injury happened with the Jaguars leading 37-20 late in the fourth quarter. Lawrence was sacked for a 17-yard loss on a third down play and took a little while to get back to his feet and over to the sideline.

Lawrence finished the win with 181 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and an interception.

Jacksonville is facing a short week with a Thursday night road matchup against the New Orleans Saints up next.
