Transfer news LIVE!

Chelsea have finally confirmed Enzo Maresca as their new manager today on a five-year deal, with six of his Leicester backroom team joining him in west London. It kicks off a busy week at Stamford Bridge with Tosin Adarabioyo due for a medical before becoming the Blues boss' first signing. Young Brazilian Estevao Willan is another deal set to be concluded and Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz is on the Blues’ and Tottenham’s radar.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are stepping up their striker search after giving up on Alexander Isak. RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko has emerged as the frontrunner and could arrive for around £55million due to a release clause, but a deadline of June 14 has been set to complete any transfer. Sporting CP defender Ousmane Diomande could prove another cheap signing. Emile Smith Rowe, meanwhile, is being tracked by Fulham.

Spurs are another who want a striker with Santiago Gimenez open to the move, but it is Eberechi Eze who could be the first through the door with talks set to begin. Crystal Palace team-mate Michael Olise, wanted by Chelsea and Manchester United, could be staying at Selhurst Park. That would be a blow to United, who could lose Bruno Fernandes. Mikel Arteta claims uncertainty over his Arsenal future can 'help' title bid

15:28 , Marc Mayo

Mikel Arteta believes uncertainty over his Arsenal future is a "helpful" motivator but is confident that "things will take care of themselves" when it comes to his contract.

Arteta's current contract runs out at the end of next season but the Spaniard is thought to have begun talks with the club over an extension.

The Arsenal boss is relaxed about the situation and says the lack of clarity helps to keep him hungry for success.

“In football, it's about today and what we're going to do today and what you hopefully can do tomorrow,” Arteta told CNN.

“[In] this profession I think having this uncertainty is quite helpful. At least it motivates me, keeps me on my toes, and it keeps me hungry to go again. I think we have a great relationship with everybody at the football club. I’m really happy where I am, and things will take care of themselves.”

Leicester hit out at Enzo Maresca

Championship winners Leicester have put out a statement confirming the exit of Enzo Maresca from their end - and it underlines their unhappiness at losing the Italian coach.

New Crystal Palace star speaks out

Daichi Kamada has been quoted in the Italian media this afternoon opening up on his imminent exit from Lazio.

Crystal Palace have booked the Japanese midfielder in for a medical this week ahead of his arrival on a free transfer.

And he has told Football Zone: “It is 100 per cent decided that I will leave Lazio.

“At the start I intended to stay, but Italy is like that and the president of Lazio is famous especially in Italy for being one of the most difficult to negotiate with.

“I only wanted a one-year contract and didn't ask for anything more because I was paid enough. I don't know what my agent told the club, but I only wanted a one-year contract.

“I had spoken to [Lazio coach, Igor] Tudor many times. He was improving me, so I often told him that I wanted to sign the renewal.

“Even when I decided to leave, I stayed in contact with the coach, I didn't get on badly with him. He is a coach that I hope to meet again and work with him somewhere.”

Newcastle advised on Arsenal interest in Alexander Isak

13:59 , Alex Young

Newcastle would be "bonkers" to sell Alexander Isak this summer, says Alan Shearer, amid Arsenal links.

The Swedish international is a dream summer signing for Mikel Arteta as the Gunners look to improve their forward line ahead of a third attempt to dethrone Manchester City in the Premier League.

But Newcastle legend Shearer does not expected his former club to part ways, telling The Rest Is Football podcast: "He’s very good. He’s a very, very good player. He’s a modern day forward… do you know the trend now, rather than centre-forward, he’s a forward. He’s a brilliant example of that.

"He’s had one or two injuries this season but whilst he’s been on the pitch he has been absolutely magnificent. He’s brilliant at running in behind because he’s quick and once he’s away you’re not catching him.

"He’s also very clever at coming short and dragging defenders in with them, therefore leaving space in behind. He’s a very clever, intelligent player and he’s got great ability.

"They’re sat on a great asset and it would be absolutely bonkers if Newcastle, for whatever reason, sold him in the summer..."
