Tottenham XI vs Aston Villa: Starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for Premier League today

Pedro Perro returns for Tottenham at Aston Villa today.

Porro has missed the last two matches with a knee injury picked up in training and comes back into the starting XI at the expense of Emerson Royal.

With the Spaniard fit again, the Spurs back five picks itself but Postecoglou had decisions to make in his midfield and front three.

Pape Sarr makes a a return to the XI.

Brennan Johnson has made a strong case for a start after a series of impressive cameos from the bench, including in last weekend's win over Crystal Palace when he brilliantly made the equaliser for Timo Werner and beat the German to a starting berth.

Asked if he had a difficult decision to make over Johnson, Postecoglou said: "I don't know about difficult decisions, they are easy decisions and the good thing about Brennan is that now he is contributing.

"It's been important for us in recent games and it will be important for us moving forward, but that doesn't mean that is him consigned to that position. I think overall his year, we've seen growth in him.

"He is understanding better the demands of the position, which is a bit different to what he was used to. You can see he is growing all the time and he is still a very, very young man for us, particularly in that striker position.

"We see a lot of growth in him and like everyone else they are all in front of me every single day with the opportunity to present themselves to play, whether that is to start or not to start, and what I'm looking for is an impact and Brennan been making that."
