Top performers: Hunter Huss baseball's Kimmel hurls second no-hitter of season

Here is a daily list of the top performers from Cleveland, Gaston and Lincoln counties during the second week of spring sports action, in addition to the NCHSAA high school basketball playoffs.

NIck Williams, Burns: HIt a solo home run, along with two RBIs and three runs scored.

Asher Smith, Crest: Threw a complete game, allowing no runs on three hits with eight strikeouts in a 2-0 win over East Rutherford. Smith along with teammates Landry Ohmstead, Eli Black and Jackson Swenson collected base hits in the win.

Carsten Green, Gaston Christian: Earned a double with two RBIs in a 5-4 win over Forsyth Country Day.

Aaron Main, Gaston Christian: Was 2-for-4 with a run scored.

David Nicks, Gaston Christian: Was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored.
