Top Clarksville-area sports performers Week 6: West Creek's Madison Bennett strikes for five goals

Here are the top performers in Clarksville-area high school sports for the week of Sept. 18-24.

SATURDAY

Boys Cross Country

Hayden Waleski, Clarksville: Took first place at the Wildcat Invitational with a time of 16:11.7, topping a field of 115.

Corbin Drawdy, Clarksville: Finished fourth with a time of 16:45.1.

Cyrus Sanders, Clarksville: Came in ninth, running a 17:07.6.

Jayden Waller, Clarksville: Ran a 17:09.5 to place 11th.

Jeffrey Perry, Fort Campbell: Finished 17th out of 220 runners at the Marshall County Invitational in Benton, Kentucky, running a 17:49.45.

Braylon Bender, Kirkwood: Came in fifth at the Wildcat Invitational, running a 16:50.7.

Tyler Toth, Rossview: Finished seventh at the Wildcat Invitational with a time of 17:03.0.

Cade Deterding, Rossview: Ran a 17:41.4, good enough for 12th place.

Issac Perkins, Rossview: Came in 13th place with a time of 17:43.0.

Aaiden Badders, West Creek: Posted a time of 17:06.6 to place eighth at the Wildcat Invitational.

Girls Cross Country

Brooke Waleski, Clarksville: Finished second out of 46 runners at the Wildcat Invitational with a time of 20:12.8.

Lexi Young, Clarksville: Placed fifth with a time of 20:43.7.

Emmie Underwood, Fort Campbell: Came in fourth out of 129 at the Marshall County Invitational with a time of 20:34.32.

Cassandra Rosencrants, Kirkwood: Finished in seventh place at the Wildcat Invitational, posting a time of 21:28.8.

Lillian Goodwin, Rossview: Ran a 21:07.8 to finish sixth at the Wildcat Invitational.

Brianna Kessler, West Creek: Placed third at the Wildcat Invitational by running a 20:27.3.

THURSDAY

Soccer

Kristen DeSantis, Rossview: Scored a goal and assisted on all her team's other three goals in a 4-2 win at Liberty Creek.

Isabella Graves, Rossview: Scored the Hawks' opening goal.

Eva Greenwald, Rossview: Scored the Hawks' final two goals.

Hadley Rudolph, Rossview: Assisted on DeSantis's goal.

Emma Williams, Rossview: Stopped 20 shots.

Madison Bellamy, Aliya Everett, Kinleigh Lewis, Caitlyn Mercado and Kayleigh Vest, West Creek: All had assists in a 7-1 win over Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

Madison Bennett, West Creek: Had a hat trick and an assist.

Skylar Clement, West Creek: Scored one goal and assisted on another.

Leilyn Mercado, West Creek: Scored one goal.

Brittany Williams, West Creek: Scored two goals.

Volleyball

Symphanie Browne, Northeast: Had six blocks and six kills in a four-set loss at Rossview.

Madison Douglass, Northeast: Totaled 27 digs.

Catherine Drake, Northeast: Had 17 digs.

Tae'lor Slaughter, Northeast: Led the Eagles with 10 kills and added 12 digs.

Joslyn Young, Northeast: Had 32 assists and 12 digs.

Nicole Cushionberry, West Creek: Racked up 10 assists, six digs and two aces in a three-set win over Kenwood.

Elysse Holloway, West Creek: Had 17 assists.

Olyvia Holloway, West Creek: Totaled eight kills and nine digs.

Shawna Graham, West Creek: Had nine kills.

TUESDAY

Soccer

Mackenzie Haupt, Northeast: Found the net in a 4-4 tie at Springfield.

Gabby Navarro, Northeast: Had an assist.

Janelle Roland, Northeast: Scored three goals.

Jenna Sierawski, Northeast: Made 10 saves, including two penalty kick attempts.

Kristen DeSantis, Rossview: Had a goal and three assists in a 4-0 win at Clarksville.

Eva Greenwald, Rossview: Scored one goal and assisted another.

Samantha Kueker, Rossview: Had a goal and an assist.

Emma Williams, Rossview: Made nine saves for the shutout.

Madison Bennett, West Creek: Scored five goals and assisted on another in a 9-0 win over Henry County.

Syriana Berrios and Kinleigh Lewis, West Creek: Both had assists.

Aliya Everett and Aaliyah Godfrey, West Creek: Both scored goals.

Leilyn Mercado, West Creek: Had three assists.

Brittany Williams, West Creek: Scored two goals.

Volleyball

Keira Garinger, Clarksville: Finished with 15 kills, three aces and 11 digs in a four-set win over Rossview.

Averi Hawtin, Clarksville: Had two kills, five aces, six digs and 10 assists.

Camryn Hutson, Clarksville: Racked up 17 digs and two aces.

Symphanie Browne, Northeast: Had 12 kills on a .562 hitting percentage, with eight blocks, in a four-set loss to Springfield.

Madison Douglass, Northeast: Recorded 18 digs.

Kayden Hand, Northeast: Had 15 digs.

Joslyn Young, Northeast: Tallied 24 assists.

Shawna Graham, West Creek: Had seven kills and eight blocks in a four-set loss at Northwest.

Elysse Holloway, West Creek: Totaled 20 assists and four aces.

Elayna Pearce, West Creek: Had 20 digs.

Boys Cross Country

Kael Nord, Montgomery Central: Finished second at the Fairview Cross Country Meet with a time of 17:42.

Madison Douglass, Northeast: Had 12 digs in a three-set loss at Sycamore.

Joslyn Young, Northeast: Tallied 17 assists.

Nicole Cushionberry, West Creek: Had 14 digs, 10 assists and five service aces in a three-set win over Henry County.

Shawna Graham, West Creek: Racked up 10 kills, four aces and two blocks.

Shawnti' Graham, West Creek: Had 10 kills and seven digs.

Elysse Holloway, West Creek: Totaled 17 assists and seven digs.

Olyvia Holloway, West Creek: Had 12 kills, hitting .450, and added five aces and eight digs.
