Here are the top 5 Week 7 high school football games in the Manitowoc/Sheboygan area

The slate of contests for Week 7 in Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties features four games between teams with at least four wins including one matchup of unbeatens.

Here are the top five games to watch in the area this week.

Port Washington (6-0) at Plymouth (6-0)

There might not be a bigger game in state this week than when a pair of undefeated Division 3 teams square off as both the Port Washington Pirates and Plymouth Panthers are ranked top five in D3. Port Washington routed Sheboygan Falls in Week 6 51-7 as dual-threat quarterback Ben Fritsch had over 200 yards total offense with a touchdown both rushing and throwing. Plymouth had a comfortable win as well, knocking off Waupun 42-0 behind Ben Shutter’s 140 yards and two touchdowns running. The winner will take the lead on the East Central Conference title race while also making a claim for a deep playoff run as well.

Reedsville (6-0) at Howards Grove (4-2)

The undefeated Reedsville Panthers scored a season-high 55 points in a 55-28 win over the Random Lake Rams last week as dual-threat quarterback Parker Maney had yet another strong game. Maney ran the ball 20 times for 221 yards and five touchdowns while adding another 189 yards and a score passing on 8-of-12 throwing. The Howards Grove Tigers, coming off a 35-21 setback against the Oostburg Flying Dutchmen, will try and avoid a two-game skid. Quarterback Trent Grunewald had a solid game against Oostburg, going 30-of-41 for 264 yards and three touchdowns but the Howards Grove defense had trouble containing the Flying Dutchmen rushing attack. Should the Tigers contain Maney and win, they would lock up a playoff spot.

Oostburg (4-2) at Cedar Grove-Belgium (4-2)

The Cedar Grove-Belgium Rockets were considered the favorites to win the Big East before the season but are now in the position of trying to simply make the postseason for the 21st-straight season. Two-straight victories, including a 13-0 shutout of the Hilbert Wolves last week, have the Rockets trending in the right direction. Oostburg, meanwhile, scored on all five of its full offensive possessions to defeat rival Howards Grove 35-21. Kedan Laganowski had a monster game in the win for the Flying Dutchmen, rushing for career-highs in attempts (22), yards (216) and touchdowns (four). Cedar Grove-Belgium utilizes a running back by committee but Cade Borden scored both of the Rockets touchdowns in Week 6. Oostburg would ensure a place in the postseason with a win.

Kohler/Lutheran/Christian (4-2) at Kiel (4-2)

Expect offensive fireworks when the Kohler Blue Bombers take on the Kiel Raiders. Both teams have high-powered passing attacks led by quarterbacks Max Breitenbach and Cade Voelker, respectively, as Breitenbach is second in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference in passing while Voelker is third. KLC will look to try and bounce back from a 49-7 loss to the Two Rivers Raiders while Kiel cruised past Chilton 49-19 last week. The winner will keep hopes for a conference title alive while also clicking a playoff berth.

New Holstein (5-1) at Roncalli (0-6)

The New Holstein Huskies had made the playoffs for five-straight seasons before missing out last year but a win over the Roncalli Jets will put New Holstein back in the postseason. In Week 6, the Huskies rolled past the Brillion Lions 27-7 while the Jets were upended by the Valders Vikings 20-14. New Holstein linebacker Owen Abler had a huge game in the victory over Brillion, recording 11 solo and 14 total tackles while for Roncalli Landon Chalupny threw a pair of touchdown passes.
