Samantha Brown, sr., D, Kettle Moraine

Kettle Moraine coach Kaitlin Kapitan thinks highly of Brown’s defensive prowess. “Arguably the scariest center back in Wisconsin,” Kapitan said of the returning honorable mention all-state selection. “She is strong, aggressive, speedy, guaranteed to win almost every 1 vs. 1 battle and smart with her decisions once she wins the ball. She seems to have a magnet in her head attached to the ball.”

Audrey Burnell, sr., MF, Green Bay Notre Dame

Burnell tore her ACL in Notre Dame’s sectional final match last season but Notre Dame coach Nick Browne says the senior midfielder should be at full speed for her final campaign. “Audrey is a vocal player that has some of the best technical skills in our area,” Browne said. “She has lofty personal expectations for the year, but none higher than returning to state as she did her freshman and sophomore campaigns. This is going to be a huge year for Audrey, so excited to see what she does.”
