When it comes to social media, Instagram has become one of the most popular platforms for athletes to showcase their lifestyles.

Grueling offseason workouts, highlights from a big performance, and vacation pictures are some of the many different posts that many athletes gravitate to in their feeds. For some, Instagram has the best way to show what goes on outside of their sport, especially through their stories.

From the casual viewers to the avid watchers, here are 10 athletes you should be following on Instagram.

Devin Booker, basketball

For car enthusiasts, the Phoenix Suns shooting guard’s feed is one of envy. Booker will often show off his collection of classics, along with his various trips around Arizona and the world. One of the more famous guests on his feed includes his dog, Haven, a Cane Corso. Booker dedicated his latest Nike Book 1 sneakers to Haven, which shows their special bond.

Simone Biles, gymnastics

The most decorated gymnast of all time is one to keep up with during this Olympic year. As she gears up for the Paris Olympics this summer, Biles will be chasing her third Olympics. Biles loves sharing her personal life, including being married to NFL player Jonathan Owens, who just finished last season as a safety for the Green Bay Packers. Biles will certainly be documenting their new life in Chicago after Owens signed with the Bears this offseason.

Shohei Ohtani, baseball

Not many athletes can say that they hard launched their marriage on Instagram, but Ohtani sent shockwaves in late February when he did so. For Ohtani, Instagram happens to be his favorite way to communicate news, like when he posted a picture of the Los Angeles Dodgers logo in December to end his ongoing free agency speculation. The richest man in baseball posts a lot of on-field content, but with him playing for the Dodgers, there might be an even bigger opportunity for him to post more.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, basketball

When he’s not commanding the floor as the point guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is dominating the style game. The 25-year-old is one of the standouts in a fashion-obsessed NBA, unafraid to mix colors, patterns, and silhouettes. Aside from great style, his photo dumps contain his highlights and creative captions relevant to his life on and off the court.

Brittney Griner, basketball

Griner’s life has been nonstop since returning home after being detained in Russia for 10 months in 2022. From attending the White House Correspondents’ dinner to her jersey retirement ceremony at Baylor, her feed documents her homecoming tour. Aside from basketball, Griner loves to showcase her love for her wife, Cherelle, and continues to advocate for the release of wrongfully detained Americans overseas.

Eileen Gu, skiing

An Olympic gold medalist skier, fashion model and Stanford student, the 20-year-old is one of the most interesting people in sports. Gu, who represented China at the Beijing Winter Games, documents her wide-ranging interests on her Instagram feed. From competing around the world in halfpipe, slopestyle, and big air events to gracing the catwalk, there's always something going on.

Odell Beckham Jr., football

There’s a reason that Odell Beckham Jr. is leagues ahead of other NFL players when it comes to his following. At 17.6 million followers, over 11.5 million more than Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Baltimore Ravens wide receiver has variety on his feed. He mixes sweet posts of his son with him rubbing elbows with celebrities and is often active on his stories.

Coco Gauff, tennis

The tennis phenom and world's No. 3 women's player is not only set up to be the next U.S. star, but she crossed over to the mainstream as Vogue's cover star for April. While she was still a teen, Gauff made waves when she won the U.S. Open last summer. Gauff will post her life on the court, along with her travels with her family. Her feed will only become more interesting when she competes in the Paris Olympics.

Travis Kelce, football

If you're hoping to see Taylor Swift on Kelce's feed, there's some bad news. While the two have publicly supported each other at Chiefs games and at various stops on the Eras Tour, Kelce remains private on their relationship on his social media. However, if you're still curious about the tight end's personality off the field, he'll post clips from his popular podcast with his brother, Jason, on his feed. Kelce also doesn't shy away from showcasing his style as well.

Angel Reese, basketball

It's an exciting time for college basketball, and this LSU star is one of the many reasons to tune in for March Madness. The Bayou Barbie is unapologetically herself on her feed, showing off her personal style from her outfits to her nails. Reese remains active on her stories, which will be a great window into her life for while LSU competes to defend its national title.
