Tobias Harris scores 20, Magic nip Hawks

Nikola Vucevic finished with 18 points and added 11 rebounds, his 14th double-double of the season, to lead the Orlando Magic to a close victory over the Atlanta Hawks, 100-99. The Magic had a strong shooting performance in this one, going 37-74 (50.0%) from the field, including 10-21 (47.6%) from three-point range. Orlando (10-16) picked up the win after falling to Atlanta Hawks on Friday.

Vucevic went 9-13 from the field, in a solid performance. Orlando also got solid performances from Tobias Harris with 20 points and six rebounds, and Victor Oladipo with 15 points and seven assists. On 8-18 shooting (2-4 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 6-8 from the free throw line, Jeff Teague scored 24 points for Atlanta in the loss. Al Horford contributed 18 points and eight rebounds.

Along with their eFG% of 56.8%, the Magic connected at a rate of 47.6% from 3-point range. On the season, they are 2-2 when they record marks above 55% and 40% in those respective categories. Conversely, the Hawks are 1-3 when allowing their opponents to reach those percentages.

This drops Atlanta (16-7) to 1-1 versus Orlando on the season.

Coming up, the Magic square off against the Toronto Raptors, who are 18-6 on the season. The Hawks match up with the Chicago Bulls, currently sitting at 15-8 this year. The Magic came up short against Toronto each of the last two times they've met.
