Time Lord, Walker on restriction vs. 76ers; Tatum ramping up for return

Robert Williams III will be available to play against the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday evening according to Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens — and All-NBA small forward Jayson Tatum has reportedly exited the league’s health and safety protocol after an extended absence triggered by an asymptomatic COVID-19 test.

Speaking to the media ahead of the team’s 7 p.m. (ET) contest with Philadelphia, Stevens revealed that Time Lord would be limited to 10-15 minutes of playing time. Teammate and recent fellow returnee Kemba Walker would also have a minutes limit, around the 20 minutes of game time he had against the New York Knicks.

Perhaps most importantly, the Celtics coach revealed “Tatum feels great,” and “worked out yesterday, real briefly,” as well as in Boston today.

Stevens anticipates that Tatum’s ramp-up period will likely be less early given he was playing considerably more minutes per game than Williams, but did not shed any light on whether the Duke product would be available for Boston’s Friday game against the 76ers.
