The Gamecocks are seeking their third national championship and the first since 2022. The Hawkeyes are seeking their first ever, led by Clark in her final collegiate game.

South Carolina used a dominant third quarter to defeat 3 seed NC State 78-59 in the first semifinal matchup on Friday. The Gamecocks outscored the Wolfpack 29-6 in the third quarter, and Kamilla Cardoso led USC with 22 points and 11 rebounds on an efficient 10-of-12 shooting from the field. Raven Johnson added 13 points, five assists and three steals, while Te-Hina Paopao added 10 points and six assists.

A controversial offensive foul late helped Iowa escape 3 seed UConn with a 71-69 victory. Clark scored 15 of her 21 points in the second half, including a late free throw and an intelligent play on an inbounds to take time off the clock to help the Hawkeyes reach their third national championship. Hannah Stuelke led the way with 23 points, while the Huskies' Paige Bueckers was limited to 17 points.

The Hawkeyes defeated an undefeated South Carolina 77-73 last year in the Final Four on March 31. Clark had 41 points in that game.

The women's college basketball national championship game will air on ABC with Ryan Ruocco (play-by-play) and Basketball Hall of Famer Rebecca Lobo (analyst) calling the game. Holly Rowe is the sideline reporter.
