Tigers' Kaleb Bigelow wins individual wrestling title at DWU Open

Nov. 12—MITCHELL — A title victory from Dakota Wesleyan's Kaleb Bigelow led the way at the annual DWU Open wrestling tournament on Saturday at the Corrigan Fieldhouse.

Bigelow, a junior from Pinedale, Wyoming, won the 165-pound weight class with four victories on Saturday. In the semifinals, he had an 11-6 win over Garrett Willuweit of Nebraska-Kearney, and Bigelow defeated another UNK Loper in the finals, taking down Cael Robb by a score of 7-3. Other Tiger highlights included third-place finishes for Zach Zitek (141) and Lane Miller (174).

DWU, which opened its dual season with an exhibition 32-15 win over Ridgewater College (Minn.) on Friday, will start the conference dual season at 7 p.m. Thursday against Northwestern College.
