Thursday's Top Prep Performers from volleyball, cross country, flag football, golf, tennis

Highlights from Thursday in high school sports:

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

  • Kate Duffey amassed 37 assists, 10 digs and eight kills, Sophia Sletten had 15 kills and 16 digs, Daphne Raymond finished with 13 kills and four blocks, and Chloe Simpson contributed 20 digs and four aces as Ventura (16-3, 11-0) rallied to beat San Marcos 20-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-23, 15-13 to remain unbeaten in Channel League play.

  • Shai Daniels finished with 22 kills and 11 assists, Maddie Shay compiled 19 assists and 12 digs, Sydney Davis had 11 assists and five digs, and Ashley Sulkowski added seven kills and three blocks to lead Buena to a 23-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-18 victory over Rio Mesa in a Channel League match. Jill Lan had 14 kills, 11 digs and three aces, Kenadie Kiech had five kills, two aces and two blocks, and Sadie Castro had seven kills and three blocks for the Spartans.

  • Valeria Ibarra finished with 22 assists and nine digs, Laney Ramirez has seven kills and Ava Ordonez had six kills and three blocks for Oxnard (10-11, 6-5) in its 25-19, 25-19, 25-12 loss to Dos Pueblos in a Channel League match.

  • Sophia Addison recorded 11 kills and 15 digs, Halle Bryce had 22 kills and three blocks, Makayla Briones had 18 digs, and Elle Anger finished with 26 assists to lead Camarillo to a 25-16, 22-25, 25-16, 23-25, 15-11 win over Oak Park in a Coastal Canyon League match. Andrea Mise finished with 14 kills, 10 digs and six aces, Mika Merilles had 13 kills, Natascha Aden had 11 kills, Taylor Mansmann had 29 digs, and Savannah Mitchell compiled 30 assists, 15 digs and three aces for the Eagles.

  • Oaks Christian (17-7, 7-0) remained unbeaten in Marmonte League play by sweeping Thousand Oaks 25-23, 25-17, 25-8. London Halvorsen had seven kills and Mia Paculan had six digs for the Lancers (16-4, 5-2).

  • Alexis O’Keefe had 15 kills, Joia McJimpson and Olivia Lopez each had six kills, Makena Biondi had five kills and five blocks, and Kiyomi Kohno finished 27 assists to lead Agoura to a 26-24, 25-22, 28-26 over Newbury Park in a Marmonte League match. Kenzie Holden had 11 kills and Reilly Hees had seven kills for the Panthers.

  • Kaitlin Logan finished with 26 kills, 19 digs, four aces and a block, Hallie Barlow had 41 digs and an ace, Soraya Forbes contributed 17 kills and two blocks, Sienna Huckestein compiled 54 assists and five digs, Sara Stoney had 19 digs and three aces, and Kalea Maielua had 12 digs to lead St. Bonaventure (13-5, 4-2) to a 23-25, 25-12, 18-25, 25-12, 15-13 victory over Foothill Tech in a Tri-Valley League match. Morgan Houston finished with 42 assists, Kaili Garrett had 24 digs, Malia Gray had 12 kills and Ashlyn Mullin had 10 kills for the Dragons.

  • La Reina (23-5, 7-0) stayed perfect in Tri-Valley League play with a 25-16, 25-20, 25-11 win over Laguna Blanca.

  • Jayla Pettit had 10 kills, Kirsten Solomon and Elyanna Quintino each added six kills, Sofia Peralta finished with 25 assists, and Selina Cortez had 11 digs to lead Santa Clara (7-9, 4-2) to a 25-8, 25-11, 25-11 sweep of Dunn in a Frontier League match.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

  • Kristen Gibbel won the individual title with a time of 19:09.6 to lead Moorpark to a first-place team finish at the second Coastal Canyon League meet of the season. Jane Layton took sixth in 20:31.5, Jenna Murray was seventh in 20:37.3 and Addison Pereira of Moorpark placed 10th in 20:42.3 for the Musketeers (41). Tate Creason was second in 19:25.1 and Samyuktha Senthilnatha was ninth in 20:40.1 for second-place Oak Park (53). Lilliana Sanders finished eighth in 20:38.4 for third-place Camarillo (65). Leanna Olivas finished third in 19:55.6 for fourth-place Royal (75). Angelica Espinoza was fifth in 20:23.8 for fifth-place Simi Valley (95).

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

  • Hunter Lee of Moorpark won the individual title with a time of 15:33.8 and Camarillo won the team title with 47 points at the second Coastal Canyon League meet of the season. Michael Lennox took third in 15:47.0 and Diego Montag was eighth in 16:05.5 to lead the Scorpions to first place. Thomas White placed fourth in 15:47.0 and David Raigoza was ninth in 16:08.0 for second-place Moorpark (52). Grant Jones took sixth in 16:00.9 and Mark Hodges was 10th in 16:24.5 for third-place Oak Park (61). Samuel Bado finished second in 15:40.4 and Asher Lee was fifth in 15:53.9 for fourth-place Royal (92). Elijah Rojas finished seventh in 16:02.9 for fifth-place Simi Valley (113).

GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL

  • Oxnard defeated Buena 27-0 to improve to 9-0.

  • Ventura defeated Pacifica 32-19.

  • Royal defeated Camarillo 15-14.

GIRLS GOLF

  • Nina Xu earn medalist honors with a 3-under 33 and Joanna Hong shot an even-par 36 to lead unbeaten Oak Park (11-0, 7-0) to a 197-246 victory over Moorpark in a Coastal Canyon League match at Moorpark Country Club. The Eagles have clinched their third straight league title. Taylor Moore and Brooke Skarie each shot a 47 for the Musketeers (1-6, 1-4).

  • Maddy Lockmann fired a career-best 3-under 33 to earn medalist honors, Jayden Peters shot a 1-under 35, Addison Kloch had an even-par 36, and Lillian Spratt shot a 37 to lead Agoura (5-2) to a 198-303 victory over Calabasas in a Marmonte League match at Sterling Hills Golf Club.

  • Westlake defeated Oaks Christian 192-215 in a Marmonte League match. Alesia Barry was the medalist with a 33 and Carolyn Rao had a 39 for the Lions.

  • Cali McDaniel shot a 48 as Nordhoff took first with a score of 263 in the first Citrus Coast League tournament at Olivas Links Golf Course. Sophia Manzano shot a 47 for second-place Santa Paula (278). Jamaica Cook was the medalist with a 42 for third-place Carpinteria (279). Chloe Loquet shot a 49 for fourth-place Malibu (285). Phoenix Matautia shot a 43 for fifth-place Channel Islands (292). Amaya Rhodes shot a 55 for sixth-place Fillmore (300). Brenda Arias Jaciunde shot a 59 for seventh-place Hueneme (306).

  • Piper Singleton shot a 2-over 39 to earn medalist honors and Audrey Yoong had 45 to lead Foothill Tech (5-2, 3-0) to a 270-274 win over Laguna Blanca in a Tri-Valley League match at Santa Barbara Municipal Golf Course.

GIRLS TENNIS

  • Oaks Christian and Agoura tied in sets at nine with the Lions earning the Marmonte League win on games, 73-69. Katherine Blackwood and Ellie Lin each won two singles sets and the doubles teams of Brody Hamilton and Sofia Serrao and Kaitlin Mayers and Hannah Huan each won two sets for Oaks Christian (6-2, 3-1).

  • Camarillo defeated Simi Valley 13-5 in a Coastal Canyon League match.
