➜ Arcola 2, Blue Ridge 0. The Purple Riders (13-8) rode past the Knights (3-24) in a 25-11, 25-21 Lincoln Prairie Conference decision despite four kills from Blue Ridge's Lexi Phelps, three kills from Phoebe Reynolds and eight digs from Paige Browning.

➜ Armstrong-Potomac 2, Chrisman 0. Multiple Trojans collected double-figure stat totals in a 25-22, 25-20 home win over the Cardinals (16-17) in Vermilion Valley Conference play. Tinley Parkerson led the way for A-P (9-12) with 18 assists and six kills, MaKenna Ackerman added 13 digs and an ace, Carly Grant chipped in 12 digs and Brynn Spencer added 11 assists, six kills and six digs.

➜ Arthur Christian 2, Cornerstone 1. Addi Erwin's big night included 28 assists and 26 digs to help the Conquering Riders earn a closely-contested 26-24, 22-25, 28-26 home win in East Central Illinois Conference play. Selah Wheeler was also a force for ACS (26-6) with 15 kills.

➜ Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond 2, Heritage 0. Sixteen assists from Mary Roland and six kills from Gracie Tate weren't enough for Heritage (17-12-2) as ALAH (11-16) produced a 25-14, 25-20 win in Lincoln Prairie Conference action.

➜ Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin 2, Georgetown-Ridge Farm 0. The Blue Devils (16-8) earned a 25-13, 25-17 win over the Buffaloes (13-14) in a VVC match on their home floor. Sierra Cunningham and Milee Ellis each had three kills for G-RF.

➜ Champaign Central 2, Danville 0. Seven kills from Brooklyn Hubbard and four kills apiece from Bridget Cassady and Kindle Williams keyed the Maroons (22-13) to a 25-10, 25-18 win over the host Vikings (3-27) in Big 12 Conference play.

➜ Cissna Park 2, Paxton-Buckley-Loda 0. The Timberwolves (25-3) roared to a 25-15, 25-16 win over the host Panthers (7-18) in nonconference play thanks to eight kills from Addison Lucht, seven kills from Josie Neukomm, five kills apiece from Brooklyn Stadeli and Sophie Duis and 23 assists and nine digs from Ava Morrical.

➜ Judah Christian 2, Uni High 0. Eight assists and three aces from Klementine Davis joined five kills and five digs from Rachel Divan to help the Tribe (23-0) handle the Illineks (8-11) in an East Central Illinois Conference match that ended 25-10, 25-4. Ava Carder added seven aces and a kill and Riley Pritts chipped in five digs as Judah Christian remained undefeated..

Haley Cox assisted on 28 points to allow Laila Carr to collect 13 kills, Lilly Long to amass five kills and Molly Buckles and Natalie Loy to contribute four kills apiece in a 25-9, 25-16 win for the Panthers (15-10) against the Bunnies (7-16) in Heart of Illinois Conference play.

➜ Mahomet-Seymour 2, Effingham 0. A six-kill, five-dig, two-ace performance from Avery Allen led the host Bulldogs (25-4) past the Flaming Hearts in a 25-15, 25-14 Apollo Conference decision that also included three assists and three digs from Brianna DiFillippo and kills from Marin Minick and Sydney McKinney.

➜ Normal Community 2, Centennial 0. The Chargers (14-21) suffered a 25-10, 25-9 setback in a road Big 12 match play despite 14 digs from Nia Bolton.

➜ Prairie Central 2, Monticello 0. Kerigan Fehr collected her 1,000th career dig as part of a seven-kill, seven-dig performance that powered the host Hawks past the Sages in a 25-20, 25-16 Illini Prairie Conference decision. Gracie Edelman chipped in 27 assists and Carley Chambers added 11 digs to help the Hawks (19-9). Mady Melton led the Sages (20-8) with 10 digs, Reese Patton added seven assists and Jobi Smith had five kills.

➜ Salt Fork 2, Oakwood 1. The Storm snuck past the Comets (8-15) in a narrow VVC match that came down to the final moments, eventually scoring a 25-21, 13-25, 26-24 win on the road. Macie Russell led the Storm (10-11) with 14 kills while Rain Pitlik added 12 kills and Ava Ringstrom tallied 25 assists.

➜ St. Teresa 2, Tuscola 0. Six kills from Sydney Moss and 11 digs from Zoey Thomason weren't enough for the host Warriors (3-23) in a 25-19, 25-18 nonconference loss.

➜ Rantoul 2, Mattoon 0. Ashlee Freeman had 10 assists, five digs and two kills to lead Rantoul in a 25-22, 25-22 loss to the Green Wave in nonconference play. Airiana Bell added four kills and two digs and Erykah Baltimore had three kills for Rantoul (12-19).

➜ Sullivan 2, Tri-County 0. Six kills from Aeralyn Thrasher, four kills apiece from Mayci Strauf and Tessa Seely and four aces from Emily Miller helped the host Redskins (8-20) pull away from the Titans in a 25-18, 25-21 Lincoln Prairie Conference decision. Josie Armstrong had eight kills for the Titans (8-16).

➜ Tri-Valley 2, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 0. The host Falcons (6-20) were toppled by the Vikings in a 25-13, 25-16 HOIC decision despite three kills from Savannah Shumate, six digs from Lily Lahr and eight assists from Rylie Huls.

➜ Unity 2, Pontiac 0. Jillian Schlittler tallied eight kills, two blocks and a dig to lead the host Rockets (14-16-1) to a 25-21, 25-14 Illini Prairie victory that also included seven digs and a pair of aces from Chloey Duitsman and 13 assists and seven digs from Lauren Shaw.

➜ Villa Grove 2, Cerro Gordo/Bement 1. Fourteen assists from Carly Eads led strong efforts from Jobella Crafton (seven kills), Logan Lillard (six kills and two blocks) and Alexis Cassano (six kills and three blocks) as the Blue Devils (15-10) earned a 23-25, 25-18, 25-21 win over the host Broncos (22-5) in Lincoln Prairie play.

➜ Watseka 2, Hoopeston Area 0. Haven Meyer collected five digs and served five aces to lead the Warriors (23-7) to a 25-8, 25-16 win against the Cornjerkers (10-14) in VVC play. Meyer led a charge that included nine kills from Lauren Tegtmeyer, four kills from Ella Smith, nine assists from Christa Holohan, three aces from Noelle Schroeder and three digs from Maya Machev. Brylie Cox led Hoopeston Area with three kills, two aces and a block.

In boys' soccer

➜ Champaign Central 3, Washington 2. Matthew Winterbottom supplied the entirety of the Champaign Central's scoring as he scored on two assists from Ben Wellens and one assist from Aaron Poetzel in a nonconference win for Central (16-3-2.

➜ Mahomet-Seymour 9, Taylorville 0. The host Bulldogs (14-4-4) scored eight goals in the first half en route to a sizable win over the Tornadoes that clinched the Apollo Conference title. Cohen DiFilippo and Nolan Wheeler scored two goals apiece with additional scores coming from Brody Back, Charlie Hawley, Mikiah Jones, Michael Woodbury and Alexander O'Brian.

In girls' swimming

➜ At Springfield. Centennial scored 120 points to edge Bloomington (117) and host Springfield (87) on the strength of victories from Riti Bhosale (50-yard freestyle, 27.92 seconds), Meagan Tsai (100 backstroke, 1:08.50) as well as relay teams of Tsai, Kennedy Borden, Lizzy Good and Rebekah Kim (200 medley, 2:13.36) and Kim, Tsai, Charley Kelts and Brynley Wilber (200 freestyle, 1:56.35).

➜ At Urbana. Host Urbana tallied 354 points on just one individual win — Sydney Goeddel's 1:02.52 triumph in the 100-yard butterfly happened in 1 minute, 2.52 seconds — to edge Uni High (326), Mahomet-Seymour (302), St. Thomas More (93) at Urbana Indoor Aquatic Center. M-S's performance included wins from Caroline Mills (200 freestyle, 2:06.50 and 500 freestyle, 5:44.62), Talynn O'Donnell (200 medley, 2:20.22 and 100 butterfly, 1:02.52), Lainey Howard (50 freestyle, 26.16 and 100 breaststroke, 1;16.50) and Christina Peng (100 backstroke, 1:18.38).
