Thursday's local roundup, results: Hudson Legion tops East Side

Hudson 11, East Side 8: Colin Kessinger drilled a three-run homer to center field, providing the margin of victory for Post 100 (10-8, 10-6 Zone 4) over Post 201 at Tivnan Field, in visiting Hudson's regular-season finale.
Hudson, which has the fourth seed, hosts No. 5 Cherry Valley (9-7, 9-7) in a first-round playoff game Saturday.
Hudson's Brendan O'Brien provided a two-run single, and Michael Atwater hurled the final two innings for the save.
East Side (10-6, 10-6), which is ineligible for the Zone 4 playoffs, later topped Main South, 15-3, in its season finale.
East Side 15, Main South 3: Chris Palermo, Jake Lefrancois and Devin Endaz all collected two RBIs as East Side used a nine-run seventh inning to defeat Main South (7-9) at Tivnan Field. Braden McLoughlin belted a two-run double for Main South and Tim Moynagh played all nine positions.
Leominster 12, Northbridge 12: In an eight-inning game featuring 12 errors, the teams played to a darkness-halted tie in a regular-season finale.
Cam Marshall homered for Leominster (15-6-1, 111-4-1 Zone 4), Ashton Malzahn was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, 3 runs and 2 RBIs, and Dylan Adamson drove in three runs.
Evan Pupka (3 runs) and Chase Falcon (2 RBIs) each had three hits for Northbridge (1-14-1, 1-14-1).
Second-seeded Leominster hosts the winner of Friday's Main South/Northbridge play-in in a first-round game Saturday.
Milford 7, Shrewsbury 5: Joseph McGee went 2 for 2 with three runs, while Andrew Denison was 2 for 4 with two RBIs and one run to lift Milford in its regular-season finale.
Teddy Cove went 4 for 4 with two RBIs and a run for Shrewsbury.

Vermont 5, Bravehearts 4: Andrew Chronister had two hits and scored twice, but host Worcester lost for the second night in a row to the Lake Monsters, this time in 10 innings after tying the game with two runs in the ninth. Michael Florides also had two hits.
Worcester, which dropped its fourth straight game, fell into a first-place tie with Vermont, both at 28-14.
The Bravehearts' Tyler Bastunas recorded his 31st and 32nd stolen bases of the season, breaking Ian Strom's nine-year-old team single-season record of 30.
