Here are Thursday's high school sports results for the Appleton area

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Appleton North 3, Oshkosh North 0

OSHKOSH - The Lightning defeated the Spartans 25-8, 25-15, 25-11 in a Fox Valley Association match.

“Our girls played with passion and energy tonight,” Appleton North coach Steve Scheuerell said. “Love watching these girls cheer for each other and have fun on the court.”

Emerson Van Lannen led Appleton North with 14 assists while Lydia Koshuta had 12 assists. Van Lannen had a team-high seven kills. Teegan Charapata and Shayna Williamson had six and five kills, respectively.

Oshkosh West 3, Kimberly 1

KIMBERLY - The Wildcats defeated the Papermakers 16-25, 25-23, 25-14, 25-16.

Ava Van Vonderen led Kimberly with 14 kills. Emma Tesch and Ava Hammond had 15 and 11 assists, respectively. Ava Van Camp had 21 digs.

Xavier 3, Menasha 0

MENASHA - The Hawks defeated the Bluejays 25-14, 25-10, 25-11 in a Bay Conference match.

Mariah Potter led Xavier with 24 assists. Jena Bunks had a team-high 18 digs. Halle Vande Hey had 12 kills.

Vande Hey also had eight digs. Olivia Neumann and Madison Dailey both had six kills.

St. Mary Catholic 3, Reedsville 1

REEDSVILLE - The Zephyrs lost the first set, but rallied to post the 22-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-12 win in Big East Conference play.

Leading the Zephyrs were Lauren Fischer with 21 kills and 21 digs; Eliana Brenn with 10 kills, seven digs and five aces; Audrey Norville with six kills and 21 digs; Olivia Noel with 16 digs; Sammie Weiss with 20 assists; and Stella Virlee with 14 assists.

BOYS SOCCER

Appleton East 4, Hortonville 0

APPLETON - Alexis Vera scored three goals and Sevie Koss had a goal to lead the Patriots to the win over the Polar Bears.

Vera’s first goal was assisted by Koss with Vera’s second goal, which put Appleton East up 2-0, was unassisted.

Koss then scored with Vera getting an assist. Vera scored his third goal to close out scoring. Jalen Thao assisted on the goal.

Henry Benz had five saves in goal for Appleton East.

Kimberly 3, Oshkosh North 0

KIMBERLY - The Papermakers got a hat trick from Liam Paradiso, who scored twice in the first half and once in the second half in the win over the Spartans.

Kal Vassar, Oliver Musich and Andrew Walters assisted on the goals for Kimberly.

Will Voet had one save in goal for Kimberly.

St. Mary Catholic 3, Kohler 0

KOHLER - Braeden Brenn scored two goals in the second half for the Zephyrs in the victory over the Blue Bombers.

Kieran Barrientos scored in the first half for St. Mary Catholic.
