Thursday Seacoast roundup: Oyster River/Portsmouth's Metcalf nets two in girls hockey win

DURHAM – Sienna Metcalf’s two goals led the Oyster River/Portsmouth girls hockey team to a 5-1 win over Concord on Thursday in a Division I contest at the Whittemore Center.

Oyster River/Portsmouth is now 11-3 on the season.

Kira Jakobs, Emma Sahr and Eliza Farwell all had one goal and one assist in the win. Teammate Meagan Rinko had two assists, and goalie Prudence Bellmare had four saves.

BOYS HOCKEY

York 2

Cheverus 2

PORTLAND, Maine – Shea Buckley and Laird Masterson scored a goal for York in this Class B South game at Troubh Ice Arena.

York is 11-3-2 on the season, and Cheverus is 12-2-2.

Luke Douris, Brandon Briggs and Conor Fell each had an assist for the Wildcats, while goalie Aidan McQuaide had 35 saves.

Spaulding 55

MANCHESTER – Meagan Uraskevich had 23 points and Ellie Averill had 13 for Spaulding in this Division I loss.

Kate McCawley added eight points for the Red Raiders, now 2-12.
