Three UFC on ABC 4 fighters no longer on roster days after losses in Charlotte

Three fighters who competed at UFC on ABC 4 are no longer on the promotion’s roster.

UFC on ABC 4 took place Saturday at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, N.C. and featured 11 fights including a headliner between Jailton Almeida and Jairzinho Rozenstruik.

On Tuesday, algorithm-based Twitter account UFC Roster Watch shared three fighters, all from the prelims, were removed from the fan rankings pool.

Following his UFC on ABC 4 loss to Tainara Lisboa, Jessica-Rose Clark has parted ways with the promotion, she confirmed Tuesday on Twitter. Rose-Clark, who has been on the roster since November 2017, said she fought out her contract Saturday.

Clark, 35, departs the UFC on three straight losses. She wrote she is planning her next move, but did not shed light on what exactly that may be.

Chase Sherman (16-12 MMA, 4-11 UFC)

Chase Sherman

Chase Sherman’s second UFC stint has come to an end. On Saturday’s prelims, Sherman lost a unanimous decision to Karl Williams. The defeat marked his sixth loss in eight fights since he returned to the promotion during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

On Tuesday, Sherman revealed on Instagram his contract concluded with the fight. Sherman indicated he’s planning his next move and reminded viewers he has been in this position before.

Ji Yeon Kim (9-7-2 MMA, 3-7 UFC)

No loss is ideal, but the way Ji Yeon Kim’s UFC tenure ended was particularly unfortunate. Kim lost her bout Saturday vs. Mandy Bohm after two point deductions due to fouls – and a technical decision. After the fight, Kim said she fought with a torn ACL.

The split with the UFC marks the end of a near six-year tenure since her UFC debut in June 2017. Kim exits on a five-fight losing skid.

This departure was confirmed by MMA Fighting.
