Three predictions entered in favor of Texas for four-star OT Payton Kirkland

They say where there’s smoke there’s fire, right?

That may be the case for Texas with four-star offensive tackle Payton Kirkland. The Longhorns are suddenly trending for Kirkland out of the blue, as three recent predictions have been entered in favor of Texas this week.

Kirkland announced his top five schools in March of Florida, Miami, Oklahoma, Michigan State and Alabama.

Considering Kirkland is scheduled to announce his commitment later this afternoon, this is something significant to keep an eye on. The Orlando native is rated the No. 25 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 52 overall prospect in Florida, according to 247Sports.

The first prediction came by way of On3’s Gerry Hamilton on Wednesday, and a couple more have followed since then. Kirkland has since tried to dismiss the Texas rumors via Twitter, but we’ll find out soon enough how accurate they were.
