The greatest baseball quiz ever: Did Bartolo Colon play for that team?
Bartolo Colon is a kind of Internet baseball folk hero. Twitter specifically fawns over Bartolo like he’s Mike Trout. Bartolo played for 11 teams over 21 years until now, as he still sits on the free-agent market. He’s not officially retired, but it’s the first April he’s without a big-league roster spot since 1996.

The next year, he’d debut with the Cleveland Indians and 20 years after that, he’d hit a home run for the New York Mets. That’s probably when the legend Bartolo Colon became what it is today. His teammates nicknamed him “Big Sexy.” He was a portly 43-year-old who just kept on pitching. He didn’t throw the hardest, but he could throw strikes and command pitches and that was good enough to keeping pitching in the big leagues until he was 45 last season.
Colon has played for three teams in the last two years, which is one of the things that inspired us to put together the spring training quiz above. Could people actually remember the teams Bartolo Colon played for and the ones he didn’t?
We took to Arizona with 20 different Bartolo Colon pictures — some real, some Photoshopped and asked baseball fans if they could identify which were legit. The results, as you’ll see, are pretty entertaining.
