Terrence Ross, Kyle Lowry spark Raptors over Knicks

In an impressive all-around performance, Kyle Lowry finished with 21 points and recorded 11 assists and six steals to help the Toronto Raptors edge the New York Knicks, 95-90. Toronto (18-6) has now won back-to-back games after defeating Indiana Pacers on Friday.

Lowry shot 8-19 from the field, including 1-4 on 3-point attempts. He also tallied three rebounds. Terrence Ross contributed 22 points and five rebounds for Toronto as well. Carmelo Anthony had another quality performance for New York despite the loss, putting up 34 points on 11-24 shooting (4-9 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 8-10 from the free throw line. He also tallied nine rebounds. Tim Hardaway Jr. added 18 points and six rebounds and Amare Stoudemire finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.

The Knicks had an eFG% of just 42.9% paired with a poor TO% of 21.8. They are winless (0-2) this season when turning the ball over on more than 17% of their possessions while also failing to eclipse 45% in eFG%. From a defensive perspective, the Raptors are 1-0 when forcing such performances from their opponents.

New York (5-21) couldn't get consecutive victories after beating Boston on Friday.

Coming up next, the Raptors square off with the Orlando Magic, who are 10-16 on the year. The Knicks match up against the Dallas Mavericks, currently 17-8 this season. The Raptors won their last two meetings with Orlando. The Knicks are 0-1 versus Dallas this season.
