Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry is back to practicing stiff arms

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry is known for being one of the most dominant ball carriers in the league. His speed, strength and size make him one of the biggest offensive threats in the game. However, what set him apart from others across the NFL is his infamous stiff arm.

With training camps underway all across the league, Henry is out on the field preparing for the 2023 season. A clip recently shared to Twitter by Turron Davenport of ESPN shows Henry putting in work and, once again, mastering the stiff arm.

The short video shows Henry carrying the ball and working on lateral movements, which concludes with a short burst and a stiff arm to a helmet on the end of a stick. It may be funny to watch, but it has been proven over the years to be an effective method.

Despite being almost 30 years old, Henry shows no signs of slowing down as he enters season No. 8. In 2022, he rushed for 1,538 yards on 349 carries and reached the end zone 13 times. He looks to not just continue this success, but to grow as a player and achieve new heights in 2023.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Derrick Henry and other former Alabama players across the NFL as the 2023 offseason winds down.
