Tennessee Titans have no plans to trade Ryan Tannehill after picking Will Levis in NFL Draft | Report

The Tennessee Titans have no plans to trade incumbent quarterback Ryan Tannehill after trading up to select Will Levis in the 2023 NFL Draft on Friday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

"What does this mean for Ryan Tannehill? My understanding is no talk of trading him, but they can get out of his contract after this year," Rapoport said on the NFL Network TV broadcast. "Expect Levis to be the understudy to Tannehill."

The Titans selected Levis with the No. 33 pick, sending the No. 41 and No. 72 picks in in the 2023 draft to the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for No. 33 and No. 81. The Titans also sent a 2024 pick to Arizona in the deal.

Levis was projected to be a top-five pick by some before falling out of the first round Thursday. Levis was a candidate for the No. 1 overall pick entering the 2022 season, before being plagued by a toe injury, inconsistency and poor offensive line play.

Tannehill, 34, has one year remaining on his contract.
