Tennessee Titans bring WR Marcus Johnson in for a visit

After holding a tryout with an inside linebacker on Monday, the Tennessee Titans brought in wide receiver Marcus Johnson in for a visit on Tuesday, according to the league’s transactions wire.

Johnson is no stranger to the Titans. Not only did Tennessee hold a tryout with him back in September, he has also spent the last three seasons in the AFC South with the Indianapolis Colts.

The Texas product, who went undrafted, played in 11 games with the Colts this season, reeling in 14 of 28 targets for 255 yards. He was waived from their practice squad following the Week 15 game versus the Houston Texans.

The Titans currently have five receivers on their active roster, three on their practice squad and one more on Injured Reserve in Adam Humphries, whose status for the wild-card game against the Baltimore Ravens is up in the air.

We’ll see if the Titans decide to add Johnson ahead of Sunday’s contest. If they do, it’ll likely be to the practice squad.
