Tennessee Super 25 high school football rankings: There is a new No. 1

There is a new No. 1 in the Tennessee Super 25 high school football rankings.

Baylor replaced Chattanooga rival McCallie as the No. 1 team in the USA TODAY Sports Network's statewide rankings on the heels of a 34-31 win over Lipscomb Academy. Baylor received five of the eight first-place votes. McCallie received the other three.

McCallie plays on national TV at No. 18 Brentwood Academy (1-3) on ESPNU on Friday. The state's other big matchup including two top-25 teams has No. 10 Ensworth (4-0) at No. 6 Lipscomb Academy (1-3).

1. Baylor: 197 points (5)

2. McCallie: 195 points (3)

Record: 4-0. Classification: Division II-AAA. Last week: Ranked No. 1. This week: at Brentwood Academy.

4. Pearl-Cohn: 167 points

5. Alcoa: 163 points

Record: 3-0. Classification: Class 3A. Last week: Ranked No. 5. This week: at Austin-East.
