Tennessee football's Da'Jon Terry enters transfer portal

Tennessee defensive lineman Da'Jon Terry (95) celebrates after Tennessee's football game against Florida in Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn., on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022.

Da'Jon Terry has entered the transfer portal after two seasons with Tennessee football.

Terry is a graduate transfer, which allowed him to enter the portal despite the transfer portal window closing for the spring on April 30. He did not participate in spring football.

Terry had 35 tackles, six tackles for loss and three sacks in 25 games for the Vols in the past two seasons. He transferred to Tennessee from Kansas following the 2021 season. The 6-foot-4, 321-pound Terry started seven games for Tennessee in the 2022 season after cracking the starting lineup at LSU on Oct. 8. He made 16 tackles.

Terry has played in 34 career games spanning his time at UT and KU.

The Meridian (Mississippi) product was a three-star recruit in the 2019 class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Terry is the second Vols defensive lineman to depart following spring football. Amari McNeill transferred to Colorado. McNeill played sparingly in two seasons in Knoxville.

Defensive back Cameron Miller also entered the portal during the spring window. Miller played in one game as a freshman, but had a solid spring game. He recorded six tackles, one sack and one interception.

Two UT walk-on players, punter Kolby Morgan and defensive back Derek Taylor, also entered the portal.
