The T&G Hometeam boys' hockey all-stars for winter 2022-23
The Worcester Telegram & Gazette, with the Central Mass High School Sports Awards program, presented by DCU – Digital Federal Credit Union, is proud to announce the nominees for boys' hockey. The winner will be announced during the live show Wednesday, June 28, at the Hanover Theatre.
During the live show, these nominees will be honored, along with the athletes of the year in 31 other sports with Athletes of the Year, Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, and a Courage Award.

Jack Beauregard
St. John’s, Senior, Left wing
Beauregard scored 11 goals and added 16 assists to help lead the Pioneers to the quarterfinals of the Division 1 state tournament. St. John’s defeated Winchester and Arlington Catholic, before falling to St. John’s Prep in the Elite 8. Beauregard was an assistant captain. He earned All-Catholic Conference all-star honors. His most memorable moments of the season were times away from the ice with his teammates, building closer connections and improving their relationships and play on the ice. Beauregard is undecided about his college plans, but he wants to work in an environmentally sustainable field and play hockey for as long as possible. He is the son of Lynn Beauregard and Paul Sinibaldi of Auburn.
Brady Butler
Hopedale, Senior, Left wing
Butler, who is a senior at Milford High, repeated as a T&G Super Team selection after scoring 24 goals and adding 20 assists. He led the Quinn Conference in scoring and ranked among the leaders in Central Mass. Butler, who never missed a game in his varsity career, finished with 168 points. He was a two-year captain and a Quinn Conference all-star. Scoring four goals and assisting on two others in Hopedale’s 6-2 Division 3 state tournament first-round win over East Longmeadow, which was his final home game, was Butler’s most memorable moment of the season. In the fall, he will attend the University of Rhode Island, where he will study business. He is the son of Pina and Dan Butler of Milford.
Braden Duggan
Westborough, Senior, Center/Defense
Duggan scored 18 goals and added three assists to lead the Rangers to a berth in the Division 2 state tournament. Duggan tied for the team lead in scoring and helped Westborough to a 12-10-0 record. He scored four goals in a win over Leominster in January. Beating rival Algonquin Regional, 3-0, in the Central Mass. Athletic Directors Class A Tournament final, after falling to the Titans twice in the regular season, was Duggan’s most memorable moment of the season. He is undecided on his college plans, but he hopes to study business. He is the son of Kathy and Jonathan Duggan of Westborough.
Roman Gilliatt
Grafton, Senior, Defense
Gilliatt helped anchor a defense that allowed just 1.88 goals per game during a terrific run to the Division 4 state semifinals. Playing in the Final Four was Gilliatt’s most memorable moment of the season. He had two assists in Grafton’s second-round victory over Dedham, and two more in the quarterfinal win over Shawsheen. Gilliatt, who served as team captain, was a Russell Conference all-star and helped the Gators to a 22-3 record, including a perfect 12-0 mark in conference play. In the fall, he will attend Clemson University, where he will study computer information systems. He is the son of Amy and Mike Gilliatt of Grafton.
Andrew Hodge
Algonquin Regional, Senior, Center
Hodge scored 24 goals and added five assists to help lead the Titans to the second round of the Division 2 state tournament. Hodge scored a pair of goals in Algonquin’s first-round win over Newton South. Hodge, a team captain, helped the Titans finish 14-6-2. His most memorable moment of the season was Algonquin’s comeback win over rival Marlborough in January. Hodge scored one of the Titans’ five third-period goals as Algonquin rallied from a three-goal deficit to win, 5-3. In the fall, he will attend the University of Alabama, where he will study finance. He hopes to become a financial planner. He is the son of Pam and Chris Hodge of Northborough.
Colin Kreuz
St. Paul, Sophomore, Center
With 21 goals and 36 assists, Kreuz led Central Mass. in scoring and helped the Knights to the program’s first state tournament appearance, which was Kreuz’s most memorable moment of the season. St. Paul battled Pembroke in a Division 3 first-round game, before falling, 2-0. The Knights finished 12-8-1. Kreuz totaled 30 points for the Knights as a freshman. Kreuz, who was an assistant captain this season, is a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council, and he starts at third base for the Knights’ baseball team. He is the son of Julie and Nick Kreuz of Worcester.
Brady Keeler
Grafton, Senior, Right wing
Keeler scored 35 goals and led the Gators on a terrific run to the Division 4 state semifinals. Keeler added 21 assists and ranked second in Central Mass. with 56 points. Playing in the state Final Four before a packed crowd at Loring Arena was Keeler’s most memorable moment of the season. He scored two goals and had an assist in Grafton’s victory over Shawsheen in the state quarterfinals. Grafton finished 22-3, including a perfect 12-0 mark in Russell Conference games. Keeler earned conference all-star honors. He is undecided on his college plans, but hopes to study finance. He is the son of Christine and Bill Keeler of Grafton.
Dillan Lowe
Nashoba Regional, Senior, Defense
Lowe anchored Nashoba’s defense and helped lead the Wolves to the Division 3 state championship. Lowe, a co-captain, finished the season with five goals and 22 assists. He had 31 blocked shots. He was his team’ MVP. Lowe scored two goals in Nashoba’s state semifinal win over Triton. Beating Scituate, 2-1, in overtime in the state final at TD Garden was Lowe’s most memorable moment of the season. Next year, Lowe will play junior hockey for the Worcester Railers. He plans to play college hockey and pursue an engineering degree. He is the son of Tracey and Dave Lowe of Lancaster.
Luc Masse
Marlborough, Junior, Defense
Masse, a junior at Advanced Math & Science Academy, scored 10 goals and added nine assists to help lead the Panthers to the second round of the Division 3 state tournament before losing in overtime to eventual state champion Nashoba. Marlborough's final playoff game of the season, and scoring on his only shift as a forward were Masse’s most memorable moments of the season. Masse, who won his team’s Unsung Hero Award as a freshman, was a team captain. He helped lead Marlborough to a 13-6-2 record. He hopes to study engineering in college. He is the son of Karen and Scott Masse of Hudson.
Ryan Melanson
St. John’s, Senior, Goalie
Melanson stopped 92% of the shots he faced in the regular season and had a 0.94 save percentage in the playoffs while helping lead the Pioneers to the quarterfinals of the Division 1 state tournament. Melanson made 36 saves in St. John’s 5-1 win over Arlington Catholic in the second round of the tourney. Melanson was a Catholic Conference all-star. His most memorable moment of the season was beating in-town rival Shrewsbury, 8-2, in December, in a great atmosphere. Melanson hopes to play college hockey. He is the son of Shannon and Michael Melanson of Leominster.
Joe Quinn
Nashoba Regional, Senior, Center
Quinn certainly had a flair for the dramatic during Nashoba’s tremendous run to the Division 3 state title. He scored at 6:08 of the second overtime to beat Marlborough, 3-2, in the second round of the tourney, and he netted the winner at 6:52 of OT to lift the Wolves past Scituate, 2-1, in the championship. Celebrating with his teammates in the locker room after that victory at TD Garden was Quinn’s most memorable moment of the season. He finished the year with 21 goals and 20 assists. Quinn was a co-captain. Quinn, who will play junior hockey for the Connecticut Rangers, hopes to play in college. He is the son of Johnna and Steven Quinn of Lancaster.
Jack Stiles
Algonquin Regional, Senior, Goalie
Stiles posted a .918 save percentage and a 2.05 goals against average to help lead the Titans to the second round of the Division 2 state tournament. In the postseason, Stiles stopped 94% of the shots he faced and registered a 1.50 GAA. He made 25 saves in Algonquin’s 4-0 first-round win over Newton South. Stiles was a team captain. His most memorable moment of the season was beating rival Marlborough to capture the Daily News Cup. In the fall, Stiles will study finance at either the University of Indiana — Kelley School of Business, or the University of Tampa — Sykes College of Business. He hopes to work in real estate investment. He is the son of Dawn and Jeff Stiles of Northborough.
