It sure sounds like Clayton Tune will start for Cardinals vs. Browns

The Arizona Cardinals have not announced who will be their starting quarterback on Sunday when they take on the Cleveland Browns on the road in Week 9. In fact, head coach Jonathan Gannon made it a point to say the decision would come after the team traveled to Cleveland.

However, it sure sounds like the starter will be rookie Clayton Tune.

That was the report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter earlier in the week.

Tune himself sounds like a guy who knows he is starting.

“It’s exciting to have this opportunity. Feel like I’ve been preparing the same way I have been all season. But you know, just excited for this opportunity to go out and give my team an opportunity to win,” Tune said to reporters this week. “Obviously, it’s a road environment, it’ll be wild, there’ll be a lot going on. So just gotta operate clean and efficiently and if given the opportunity, go out and make the most of it.”

Starting center Hjalte Froholdt called it “a big moment for him.”It’s a tough deal, because we’re facing a really good front that we gotta take care of, and we’re putting a lot of pressure on our shoulders to take care of that.”

The official word is the decision will be made by Saturday morning when they have to make a decision about Kyler Murray and being activated from PUP. However, it just feels like it is more a *wink* “we don’t know who is going to start” *wink* scenario.

It would be a surprise if anyone but Tune starts for the Cardinals on Sunday.
