After contentious conference championships, the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the San Francisco 49ers in this year's Super Bowl on Sunday. The NFL championship game will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

Tickets for the most expensive Super Bowl on record are still on sale.

According to CNN, the "get-in" price, or the least expensive ticket to attend the game, dropped 15% Monday compared to last week. However, this year's Super Bowl is still the most expensive in history, with the average ticket cost up 70% from last year's big game.

The Chiefs and 49ers' last Super Bowl, which was in 2020, was previously the most expensive Super Bowl game to attend, according to TickPick, an online ticket marketplace.

How much do Super Bowl tickets cost?

On Ticketmaster, verified resale tickets, tickets resold by fans and verified by Ticketmaster, ranged from $6,250 to well over $10,000 on Monday. The most expensive tickets were for front-row seats, Section 125, Row 6, which cost $75,000 each plus fees.

StubHub, a resale ticket marketplace, listed tickets starting at $5,197. The most expensive ticket was in the front row on the Chiefs' side, priced at $51,030.

On Vivid Seats, another ticket exchange and resale marketplace, customers can find tickets starting at $5,434. The most expensive tickets were also in the Chiefs' front row, priced at $34,862.

According to TickPick, the average ticket price for this year's Super Bowl is currently $9,850. The average purchase price for Super Bowl 2020, which the Chiefs and 49ers also played in, was $6,370.
