Tottenham Hotspur's incredible comeback left super-fan Steve Nash in tears on camera
Tottenham Hotspur shocked Ajax and the soccer world with its 3-goal comeback on Wednesday to advance to the UEFA Champions League final, so naturally it was a special moment for the squad’s long-frustrated fanbase.
That included arguably the most famous Hotspur fan in the United States: former NBA MVP Steve Nash.
Since his retirement from basketball in 2015, Nash has gravitated more toward the soccer world than the sport he played professionally for nearly two decades. Last year, he joined Bleacher Report as a soccer analyst. During a live broadcast, Nash couldn’t hide his emotions when Lucas Moura’s stoppage time stunner found the back of the net.

“I’m too old to be crying over football,” Nash could be heard saying.
Why is Steve Nash such a big Tottenham Hotspur fan?
Born to British parents, Nash grew up playing soccer in Canada and has rooted for Tottenham Hotspur his entire life. He even once publicly signaled a desire to purchase a stake in the team, and has managed to drop in on team practices since his retirement.
"It’s in my blood," Nash said in an interview with the team. "My dad grew up across the park from White Hart Lane, my granddad was also a Spurs fan and when you are born into that, it’s just a way of life.
Tottenham Hotspur is now slated to play Liverpool in the first Champions League final in team history, and reached that point in a staggering fashion. That will make any lifelong diehard fan emotional.
