Steph Curry thanks Bob Myers with heartfelt message on Instagram

Throughout the Golden State Warriors’ dynastic run to four championships, President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Bob Myers has been a constant figure. Since his arrival in 2011, the Warriors have won four NBA championships to go along with nine appearances in the postseason.

Following their loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the postseason, the Warriors will enter a new era without Myers. On Tuesday, the longtime Warriors executive announced he would be stepping down from his role as President of Basketball Operations and General Manager.

Following his departure, another key cog in the Warriors’ championship run took to Instagram to thank Myers. Steph Curry shared a message on his Instagram story with a picture of him and Myers after one of their wins in the NBA Finals.

Before the trophies and memories over this run, I remember I told you, ‘You better get it right!’ and you did. The GM role was great and you did your thing, but forever grateful for you as a friend forever. Changes each other’s lives! Enjoy the next chapter my guy.

Thank you, Bob!

The Warriors will now enter a pivotal offseason on the cusp of a playoff loss with new leadership. Vice President of Basketball Operations Mike Dunleavy Jr. and Kirk Lacob, owner Joe Lacob’s son have been linked as potential successors to Myers.
