Steelers LB Myles Jack says defense isn’t panicking: ‘We are still good’

Heading into this week’s game with the Buffalo Bills, the Pittsburgh Steelers defense is struggling. They are currently No. 24 in yards allowed and No. 15 in points allowed. The team is 1-3 and seems to be incapable of winning a game without injured linebacker T.J. Watt.

But everything’s fine.

At least according to linebacker Myles Jack. Jack spoke to the media on Thursday and honestly seemed pretty nonchalant about just how dire things are with the Steelers.

While I appreciate he isn’t in a panic, a sense of urgency might be in order. The team is heading into a brutal four-game stretch before the bye week and after losing to the lowly New York Jets last week, it isn’t hard to see them dropping the next four and sitting at 1-7. Is everything still fine, then?

Jack signed as a free agent from the Jacksonville Jaguars this offseason. He currently leads the team with 44 total tackles. Overall, Jack hasn’t been the impact player the Steelers anticipated getting when they signed him but he remains a steady and productive player.
