Steelers HC Mike Tomlin names Mason Rudolph starting QB vs the Ravens

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is going with the hot hand. In his Monday press conference, Tomlin announced that instead of going back to Kenny Pickett for the team’s final and all-important regular season game, he’s sticking with Mason Rudolph as starting quarterback.

Rudolph is 2-0 as a starter this season and has sparked something in this offense that Pickett has never been able to in almost two seasons. In two games, Rudolph has thrown for 540 yards and two passing touchdowns and led the Steelers offense to two 30+ point scoring performances.

Tomlin didn’t even mention Pickett when he gave his injury updates but when asked said he was healthy but they are leaving the football in Rudolph’s hands.
