Stark County-area high school football stats leaders through 5 weeks of 2023 season
This week's Stark County-area high school football stats leaders will start as an appreciation post for the two-way monsters, the kids who rarely come off the field on Friday nights.
And we'll highlight Northwest's Connor Satterfield, a tough guy who pulls the difficult double duty of running back and linebacker.
The senior leads all area running backs with 552 rushing yards (quarterbacks Poochie Snyder of Canton South and DaOne Owens of Massillon are the only players ahead of him). His 94 carries are second only to Lake's Nate Baker. His 12 touchdowns lead all players in the area. He does all this while also serving as the leading tackler for Northwest's 3-2 football team. His 67 stops are 29 more than his closest teammate.
Another two-way star in the county is Central Catholic senior RB-DB Dan Boron, who had a record-setting night last week in a 48-46 win at Alliance. His 264 rushing yards broke the Crusaders' single-game record of 261, set by Connor Campbell in 2012.
Here are the Greater Canton/Massillon area's statistical leaders at the halfway point of the 2023 regular season.
