St. Xavier's Justin Kattus announces commitment to Kentucky, joining older brother Josh

St. Xavier senior Justin Kattus announced that he committed to play football at the University of Kentucky next year, joining his older brother Josh who is a tight end for the Wildcats.

Justin Kattus, who was previously listed as a linebacker and tight end option for the Bombers, served on the offensive line last season. St. Xavier went 7-5, reaching the second round of the postseason where it fell to regional champion Moeller 10-7.

Older brother Josh, who went to Moeller, has spent two seasons as a tight end for Kentucky. In his two campaigns, Josh has caught 15 passes for 233 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Justin Kattus, left, a St. Xavier junior and linebacker, and his brother, Tucker, a St. Xavier sophomore and offensive lineman, are the sons of Eric Kattus, a former NFL player who played for the Bengals for the first six years of his career from 1986 to 1991.
