Spring All-County: Which boys water polo athletes had great seasons in Palm Beach County?

Welcome to the 2024 Palm Beach Post High School Sports Awards, where we will be announcing nominations and winners for Player of the Year in each of our sports.

With that being said, it's time to meet The Palm Beach Post's boys water polo All-County team!

At the live show for this spring's Palm Beach County High School Sports Awards on Wednesday, June 5 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, the boys water polo Player of the Year will be announced along with the teams, coaches, and athletes of the year, as well as a Courage Award winner. The Palm Beach County High School Sports Awards show is part of the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards, the largest high school sports recognition program in the country.

Player of the Year Nominees

Max Zelikov, Senior, Boca Raton

Zelikov was Boca Raton's top attacker this season, controlling the offensive pace and scoring for the Bobcats, guiding them to a 13-12 record and a regional semifinals appearance. Zelikov will be attending Stanford and is a member of the USA Water Polo Sr. B national team.

The Boca Raton goalie led the Bobcats defense to a regional quarterfinals victory over St. Andrew's and was hailed by coaching staff as one of the premier goalies in Palm Beach County this year.

Jared Berke, Freshman, St. Andrew's

The Scots' newcomer led the team in all offensive categories, with his 81 goals and 41 assists both representing team highs on a squad that ended the year as regional quarterfinalists. This is his second appearance on our All-County selection list after debuting on it during his eight-grade year.

As a junior team captain, Cook's 53 goals were second-highest on the team. He also contributed 29 assists to the Scots, who ended the year as regional quarterfinalists.

Dane Fox, Sophomore, Jupiter

Fox was an integral part of Jupiter's run to regionals this year after the Warriors won the 1A-District 7 title.

Bryce Broadway, Senior, Jupiter

Broadway played an important attacking role for the Warriors, helping Jupiter reached the regional quarterfinals after clinching the 1A-District 7 title. Bryce will be attending Mount St. Mary's in the fall to play Division I water polo.

Noah Hirsch, Boca Raton

David Kocsis, Spanish River

Ethan Kim, St. Andrew's

Coach of the Year

Kurt Predmore, Boca Raton

Under Predmore's watch, Boca Raton finished as Palm Beach County's highest ranked team. The annual contenders reached the regional semifinals after winning a district title and defeating St. Andrew's in the regional quarterfinals. The Bobcats finished the year with a 13-12 record.
