South Dakota native and No. 1-ranked welterweight contender part of Bellator MMA 298 on Aug. 11
South Dakota native Logan Storley will fight in the main event of Bellator MMA on Aug. 11, when the event makes its fourth appearance at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls.
In the main event, No. 1-ranked welterweight contender Storley (14-2) takes on No. 8-ranked Brennan Ward (17-6). In the preliminary card, several fighters with local ties are scheduled to compete. Official announcements will be made later.

Fresh off his emphatic knockout victory of Sabah Homasiin the first-ever Bellator fight broadcast on CBS, Ward(17-6) will get right back to business in Sioux Falls against the former Interim Welterweight Champion Storley.
Ward, 34, has been a one-man wrecking crew since returning to the Bellator cage in this next chapter of his thrilling career. He draws Storley, his most consequential opponent since his layoff, on the strength of three straight second-round knockouts and plans to keep his unrivaled 100% finishing rate with the promotion intact on August 11.
Opposite of Ward will be Storley (14-2). It will be a veritable homecoming for the four-time NCAA Division I All-American out of the University of Minnesota, as Storley’s lofty athletic accolades began with six South Dakota high school state championships at Webster High School. After a valiant effort in his rematch against divisional kingpin Yaroslav Amosov, the 30-year-old will look to get back on track in dominant fashion against the surging Ward in his home state.
The main card of Bellator MMA 298: Storley vs. Ward airs live on Showtime at 8 p.m. The preliminary card begins at 4:30 p.m. and streams live on the Bellator and Showtime Sports YouTube channels as well as the Bellator channel and Pluto TV. More fights will be announced later.
