All South-Central League Volleyball team unveiled: Menegatti MVP, Cowan Libero of the Year
The 2023 fall sports season has come and gone. Now that the season is over, it’s time to announce the All-South-Central League teams for volleyball.
The season ended with Pueblo West, Pueblo County and Pueblo East all heading to the playoffs. East and County did not make it out of the regionals, with East losing 0-2 and County finishing 1-1. West made it past the regionals but lost their first two games of the CHSAA volleyball state tournament to Grandview 3-2 and to Chaparral 3-0.

This year’s team was selected by all of the coaches in the league and voted on for first team, second team, all-defensive team, and honorable mentions.
The league's MVP award went to Pueblo West’s Bradie Menegatti. The junior outside hitter finished the season with 151 kills, 32 aces, 16 blocks, 155 digs and 555 assists.
The Libero of the Year award goes to Nina Cowan of Pueblo East. Cowan finished the season with 9 kills, 30 aces, 326 digs and 46 assists.
The Coach of the Year award goes to Casey King who led the Cyclones to a 23-4 overall season and a perfect 10-0 in South-Central League play.
