South Carolina demolishing Tennessee’s CFP hopes

Tennessee came into South Carolina wearing orange helmets for the first time and as a 22-point favorite.

The Volunteers may never wear that headgear again.

The  Gamecocks destroyed Tennessee’s CFP dream in an emphatic fashion.

They led 35-17 in the first half and Spencer Rattler threw 4 touchdown passes.

Tennessee closed within 35-31 with 10 minutes left in the third quarter and then everything collapsed.

Rattler threw another TD pass and with just under 10 minutes to go the Gamecocks were up 56-31.

Adding injury to insult, star Vols quarterback Hendon Hooker went down with a left leg injury in the fourth quarter. ESPN reported it appeared to be a knee injury.

How bad was it?
